The GREENVALE CIVIC ASSOCIATION was founded in 1965 and is dedicated to community preservation and the promotion of the general welfare of the residents. Our mission is to: monitor community development, act to resolve problems that negatively impact on the quality of residential life, initiate and support community beautification efforts, and sponsor social and cultural enhancement activities.
The goal of the Greenvale Civic Association is to advocate on behalf of the residents of Greenvale to maintain the highest standards of our quality of life. We keep a watchful eye out for problems and act to resolve them. We monitor commercial development and act to restrain it when it endangers the quality of our residential life. We bring important and timely information to our members on a variety of issues. We open lines of communication with our elected officials by inviting them to our meetings.
We appear before various governmental bodies such as the Zoning and Town Boards to advocate for the interests of our residents. We work cooperatively with other organizations to improve our community. And we strive to respond to the collective needs of our residents on quality of life concerns.
